Obituary

Angelica Christine Lozano was born on August 18th, 1983 at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL. She was a very big blessing to Ralph and Rosemary Lozano. She had a very magnetic personality and brought a lot of love, light, and laughter to everyone who she crossed paths with. People would stop to say she was the most beautiful baby they had ever seen.

Angelica did so much from her heart. She loved hard. She did things without expecting anything in return. She had a very creative mind from an early age. She was a brownie girl scout in Chicago then joined the AWANAS when her family moved to northwest Indiana. She was an avid music lover, so playing the piano and clarinet came naturally to her. She gave piano lessons to kids and played the keyboard on the praise team at church as well as volunteered her time to play for elderly patients in the nursing home during Christmas time. She had a soft spot for elderly people as she loved her grandparents with all of her heart.

Her personality was a lot of tomboy with a hint of girlie girl. She played sports with all of her heart and soul as she was on the volleyball and basketball teams in school, sang in the choir and flew flags for the color guard. She was a huge Chicago bulls fan. She loved to sing and had the voice of an angel just as her name indicates.

She was known for having a giving heart and helping people from all walks of life. At age 18, when 9/11 occurred she was deeply impacted and without hesitation, she enlisted in the military and decided on the Navy because she loved the ocean. Her specialty was Military Police Officer at the Seal Beach Weapons Station in California for 5 years. She had a deep love for her Lord, family, and her country. After she was honorably discharged from the Navy, she went on to study Psychology and earn a Masters degree at the University of the Rockies.
Her most recent position was at the Hospice of Cincinnati working as a certified nursing assistant for elderly veterans who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and Parkinson’s disease.

Angélica’s kids were both the love and pride of her life. She was very involved in their school events such as coaching; she also encouraged her kids to get involved in extra curricular events such as joining the swim team, the drama team, ballet, gymnastics, and football which they excelled at but regardless remained proud of them no matter what. She was a great motivator to her kids, always encouraging them to do their very best and instilling good values and respect to all.

Angélica went through very many trials in her life. She was an ovarian cancer survivor at a young age along with having many losses and tribulations. No matter the storms she endured and the hurt that came her way, she remained a very positive, giving woman who smiled and danced in the rain. There never had to be a special occasion for her to give as she inherited her grandfather’s generous heart.

Angelica went to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Christmas eve of 2020. She leaves behind her two beautiful children Bryant Christian Pierce 16, Jessica Audrey Goodale 12, along with her immediate family consisting of her father Rafael Lozano, her mother, Rosemary Reyes, her sister Elizabeth Marie Lozano, as well as uncles, aunts, and cousins.

She will be deeply missed here on Earth but her family is at peace knowing that they will be reunited in heaven with their Heavenly Father.

ANGELICA = Always a friend, Never met a stranger; Giving heart; Energetic and brave; Loved everyone; Imaginative mind; Constant resilience; Angelic voice/smile. You were all these and much more!
Dearest Niece: No words can express what our broken hearts have to say during these trying times but we have the assurance that you are now more than OK, having gone straight into the arms of your Savior Jesus; in the presence of Almighty God!
We find comfort in knowing that you're now perfectly healed;. All of us cry your departure (as tears are a language too) but rejoice in the certainty that He has taken away your pain and tears, your sorrows and suffering! You were brave to the end! No more night, no more pain, no more tears, never crying again; praises to the great "I Am", we will live in the light of the risen Lamb!
We now picture you with your dear abuelitos, who really loved and cared for you! You're now with them, please tell them we look forward to the Great Reunion when our time comes to meet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
To your dear mom, sister, dad, and beautiful children and to those who loved you, we offer this prayer from Scripture: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 15:13). May you find comfort in His promises! With much love and prayers,: Letty & Rogelio Lopez & Family (Houston, TX)
