Doris Gaspar passed away at Hospice of Dayton March 1st, 2021. Doris was 96 just one month shy of her 97th birthday. She was living in Huber Heights Ohio at the time of her death. She fought a long and brave battle with Leukemia for many years.

Doris was born 03-30-1924 in Ball Township, Illinois. Her parents were Clinton Earl Brown and Olli Mae Brown Doris was one of 12 children born to Clinton and Ollie Brown. 6 boys and 6 girls. Her surviving siblings are Barbara Frances Brown Caulfield, Margaret Irene Brown Lumley & Docia May Brown Barrick.

Preceding her in death are George Miller Brown, Ruby Lorene Brown Glickerman, Ralph Vernon Brown, Harold Vincent Brown, James Leroy Brown, Evelyn Lucille Brown Fields, Richard Earl Brown and William Joseph Brown.

Doris and John Gaspar were wed June 2, 1945 in Chicago Illinois. John preceded Doris in death November 11th, 2001.

They had 2 children Martin Harold Gaspar, born July 19th, 1946 and Patricia Darlene Gaspar Hook born June 24, 1950. (Ronald Hook). She has 2 Grandchildren, Eric Matthew Hook (Carrie Hook) and Jane Doris Gaspar.
Two great-grandchildren, Roger Hook and Abigail Hook.
She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. Far too many to name individually, but she had great love for each and every one of them.

She held dear to her heart, her friends at Pheasant Run Apartments on Old Troy Pike where she resided for 15 years.

Doris and her husband lived in Chicago, Illinois for the majority of their marriage. When they retired, they moved downstate to Lincoln, Illinois.

Doris moved to Dayton Ohio in 2002 to be closer to her daughter, Patricia.

Doris was employed with Simpsons Electric and retired from there in 1986.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting.

Graveside services will be held at Camp Butler National VA Cemetery. More information on the date of the graveside service will be announced.
