Ellie was one of my dearest friends and the conversations we had over lunches and dinners, wine and cheesecake, remain some of my most cherished memories. Her strength got me through some of my toughest times both personally and professionally and even when her physical strength began to wane, her strength of heart remained unaffected. For me, she is not gone, but has just transformed into an energy that I will feel around me always. Much love to the family she held so close to her heart. Thank you for so generously sharing her with me all of these years.

To the wonderful family of Ellie Bahns. I mourn your loss and share in the grief but I also celebrate the great memories you, I and so many have. I worked with Ellie at Schaefer Middle School. I often stopped into Ellie's office for sage wisdom and to hear a kind words of encouragement in those early days of teaching. Ellie was my tennis partner against our arch rivals Amy Miller and Dave Calhoun. Ellie was kind enough to allow me to be her partner but the truth is Amy and I stood at the net laughing and goofing while Ellie and Dave volleyed. I was SO grateful to reconnect via Zoom this year and I am forever grateful for my friendship with Ellie. Bless you all and than you for sharing her with so many students, colleagues and beyond. Well Done thou good and faithful servant well done.
