Obituary

Pamela Jean (McEwen) Genson of Farmersville, Ohio passed away on November 26, 2020 from COVID-19 complications.

Pam was born on April 29, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Lake High School in 1968 and went on to receive her B.S. in education from Miami University in 1972.

Pam married her beloved husband Rick on August 19, 1972. They were married for 48 years.

Pam was a high school business teacher for over 30 years. She retired from Valley View Local Schools in 2013. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, volunteering at St. John’s Food Pantry and playing in the church bell choir.

Pam is survived by her husband Rick; daughter Janeen (Al) Tinell and their children Sabrina and Logan of Lewisburg; daughter Jenna (Austin) Large of Hutto, Texas; brother Jim (Robin) McEwen; sister Becky (Brently) Gill and numerous other family and friends.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Dorothy McEwen, brother Don McEwen, and brother Ed McEwen.

Due to the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases in the area, the family will not hold services at this time in order to limit exposure. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.

As a way to honor Pam, please send stories, memories, and photos to Jenna at jenna.genson@gmail.com or mail to:
118 San Bernard Trail
Hutto, Texas 78634

Jenna will assemble a commemorative book for the family to honor Pam. This will be a way to carry on her memory for generations to come.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the food pantry where Pam devoted many hours to serve the community on behalf of the church. Checks can be mailed to:
